Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to walk the Camino de Santiago?
Spring and autumn usually offer milder temperatures and fewer crowds. The specific section, elevation and open services matter as much as the month: check official sources before setting off.
How many kilometres per day are recommended?
Many people walk 20 to 25 km a day, but a first stretch often works better at 18–20 km with time to rest.
How much does it cost to walk the Camino?
As a guide, expect €30–€65 per day depending on accommodation and meals. Transport, luggage, season and bookings can significantly change the total.
Do I need to book accommodation?
It depends on the type of accommodation, route and season. Always confirm policies and availability directly with the accommodation provider.
Which Camino should I choose for my first time?
There is no single answer: your days, the month, the distance you are comfortable with and the atmosphere you want all matter. On Peregrinia you have every route with its stages, distances and difficulty, so you can choose the one you like.
