Before meeting
- Review their profile, talk within the group, and agree on the section, pace, boundaries and an easy way to leave if the plan is not right for you.
- Meet for the first time during the day in a public place. Tell someone you trust, and keep your transport, money, documents and accommodation under your control.
- Email verification does not prove identity. Do not send money, documents, codes, passwords or intimate photos to another person.
During the Camino
Check weather, daylight, water, mobile coverage and trail conditions through official sources. Adapt the plan to your health and experience. Do not rely on Peregrinia as your only map, contact channel or alert system.
Location is optional, requested when you open the feature and not shared by default. If you decide to copy or send it, check who will receive it and how long it will remain visible.
If something makes you uncomfortable
Focus on getting away and reaching a safe place. You can leave the group, block the person to end visibility and contact, and report the situation for administrators to review. Save screenshots or relevant information outside the conversation if doing so does not put you at risk.
Emergencies
If there is immediate danger, someone is missing or you need medical assistance, call 112 in Spain or the local emergency number. Do not wait for a moderation response: Peregrinia is not an emergency service, and its review times are not a substitute for the authorities.
