How does Camino Companions work?
Walking the Camino de Santiago with company changes the experience: you share stages, spread the weight of the hard days and reach Santiago with people you already call friends. The hard part is matching dates with someone who walks at your pace, especially if you leave out of season or pick a quieter route.
On Peregrinia there are no profiles waiting for someone to look at them: there are walks. A pilgrim posts when they leave, from where, at what pace and what they are after. Everyone else signs up with one click and asks whatever they need in the comments, which are public. When the day comes, you already know who is going, what pack each of you is carrying and where you are meeting.
Public comments, not private chats
Everything said about a walk is said in front of everyone: whoever signs up sees the other people's questions and the organiser's answers. That keeps the conversation healthy and makes a private inbox unnecessary. Phone numbers get swapped once you have read each other and the group is closed.
Reviews after the Camino
When it is over, everyone who walked together can review each other. Those reviews show on every pilgrim's card, so when you decide to join a walk you are not starting from scratch: you know how that person treated their previous companions.
Which Camino has the most companions?
The French Way is by far the busiest: in high season you will find walks almost every week. The Portuguese Way and the Vía de la Plata have an active community and dates spread further apart. And if you are heading for a lonely Camino —Primitivo, Aragonés, Invierno— that is exactly where posting pays off most: there are few of you, but finding each other changes everything.

What if I am a woman walking alone?
Anyone can mark their walk as a women-only group, and the 🚺 filter above shows only those. On top of that, every walk shows who organises it, how many Caminos they have walked and what reviews they have, so you decide with information instead of blind. If someone behaves badly, you report them from their walk and we look into it.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Posting walks, signing up, commenting and reviewing is free for pilgrims, with no ads and without selling your data. We charge the hostels and businesses on the Camino that want to be featured on their listing; pilgrims always go free.
