Leaving Águeda
Águeda is the best place to have breakfast, buy water and sort out your food for the day: you have Balance Fit Food, Brutus, Adega do Manel, Rockpizza, Mercado Central, My Auchan and Lidl. You can also stop at Café da Estação, Boca Rota or Puro Caffe.
The first descent and the industrial area
The profile descends 67 m between km 1.8 and km 7.1. On this section, you pass through Zona Industrial EN1 Norte, a functional and fairly monotonous area with nearby roads and an urban-industrial feel.
Mourisca do Vouga
Mourisca do Vouga comes around the first third of the stage. PJ bar and Pompeia Caffe are two useful places to pause before continuing towards the more demanding section.
The climb towards Trofa and the finish
Between km 8.3 and km 11.3, you tackle the main climb: 103 m at an average gradient of 3.4%. The route then continues towards Trofa and enters Albergaria-a-Velha, where the stage ends.

Águeda is the starting point and the last town with a genuinely wide range of services before the industrial section. It is worth using it to have breakfast and prepare for the day.
Zona Industrial EN1 Norte
It is not a scenic attraction, but it is a defining feature of this stage. The industrial area and nearby roads mean it is best approached as a transitional day.
Mourisca do Vouga
Mourisca do Vouga is the main intermediate reference point on the route. Its position makes it a good place to take a break before the climb that begins further on.
Albergaria-a-Velha
This is the destination and the place with the main pilgrim accommodation. The arrival brings a short route to an end, but one shaped by its urban-industrial surroundings.
