How does Camino Companions work?
Walking the Camino de Santiago with company changes the experience: you share stages, spread the weight of the hard days and reach Santiago with people you already call friends. The hard part is matching dates with someone who walks at your pace, especially if you leave out of season or pick a quieter route.
On Peregrinia there are no profiles waiting for someone to notice them: there are dated walks. A pilgrim posts when they are leaving, from where, at what pace and what they are looking for. Depending on the group, others either join directly or send a request to the organiser. Questions that help everyone can be answered publicly, while sensitive details stay in the group's private conversation.

Reviews after the Camino
When it is over, everyone who walked together can review each other. Those reviews show on every pilgrim's card, so when you decide to join a walk you are not starting from scratch: you know how that person treated their previous companions.
Which Camino has the most companions?
The French Way is by far the busiest: in high season you will find walks almost every week. The Portuguese Way and the Vía de la Plata have an active community and dates spread further apart. And if you are heading for a lonely Camino —Primitivo, Aragonés, Invierno— that is exactly where posting pays off most: there are few of you, but finding each other changes everything.

What if I am a woman walking alone?
An organiser can say that she is looking for a women's group; those walks always require manual approval. Every page shows who is organising, their experience and reviews so you can make an informed decision. If someone behaves badly, you can report them and we will review it.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Posting walks, signing up, commenting and reviewing is free for pilgrims, with no ads and without selling your data. We charge the hostels and businesses on the Camino that want to be featured on their listing; pilgrims always go free.
