The Spiritual Way is a unique variant of the Portuguese Way starting from Pontevedra that combines walking with a boat crossing of the Ría de Arousa, reliving the maritime arrival of the Apostle James's body to the Galician coast.
At 99 km and 4 stages, it includes a 2-hour boat journey through the estuary, disembarking at Pontecesures beside the church where tradition places the landing of the Apostle's remains. From there, pilgrims walk to Padrón and Santiago de Compostela.
