The Sanabrés Way is the Galician alternative to the Via de la Plata. At Granja de Moreruela (Zamora), pilgrims coming from Seville can turn northwest, crossing the Sanabria region and the beautiful Lake Sanabria to enter Galicia via Ourense.
At 364 km and 13 stages, it offers transitional landscapes between the Castilian Meseta and the Galician mountains: oak pastures, crystal-clear rivers, natural hot springs in Ourense and the humid forests of inland Galicia.
