O Caminho de Santiago do Norte percorre toda a cornija cantábrica de leste a oeste, bordejando a costa cantábrica desde Irún até Santiago de Compostela. Com 818 km e 36 etapas, é um dos caminhos mais espetaculares e exigentes.
Ao longo da rota atravessam-se as grandes cidades do norte: San Sebastián, Bilbao, Santander, Gijón e Oviedo, além de encantadoras vilas costeiras com séculos de tradição marinheira e hospitaleira.

Rota
É o Caminho de Santiago mais antigo. Durante o reinado de Afonso II (760-842), rei das Astúrias, descobriu-se o túmulo do Apóstolo Tiago em Compostela (814). Afonso II peregrinou desde Oviedo para contemplar o túmulo recém-descoberto.
O peregrino desfruta de um património natural excecional: o percurso realiza-se entre a montanha e o mar, oferecendo paisagens deslumbrantes de falésias, praias e prados verdes. O clima oceânico torna-o ideal para caminhar na primavera ou verão.
